For teachers
A platform to teach Portuguese to foreigners online
Ludi is a platform to teach Portuguese to foreigners without stitching together five tools: live classroom, materials, games, scheduling and billing in reais, dollars or euros, with the student screen in English.

Who it is for
- Private teachers of Portuguese as a foreign language (PFL) or as an additional language.
- Teachers who work with expats, remote professionals and heritage learners.
- Teachers who prepare candidates for the Celpe-Bras exam.
- Teachers with students in Brazil and abroad at the same time who do not want two systems.
What slows down teachers with students abroad
- Time zones: is the 10 a.m. lesson at 10 a.m. for you or for them?
- Foreign currency: charging in dollars or euros without a spreadsheet or sending payment links one by one.
- Scattered materials: PDFs in one folder, slides in another, videos on YouTube and games on another site.
- A schedule that shifts on its own: when the United States or Europe changes the clocks, the time gap changes too.
- Lost beginners: students who cannot read Portuguese yet get confused by a screen that is all in Portuguese.
Get paid in dollars, euros or reais
- You create lesson packages in reais, dollars or euros, with the number of lessons and the price you choose.
- Students abroad: pay by card through Stripe or by direct transfer to your Wise account.
- Students in Brazil: pay by Pix or card in reais.
- The finance dashboard shows what has come in and what is still owed, with no manual math.
- Ludi's package fee is 3% for students you bring yourself, added on top of your price and paid by the student: you receive the price you set. Payment provider fees are separate.

Live lessons and materials in one place
- A live classroom with video and a synced whiteboard, no extra tool to open.
- YouTube videos that play in sync for you and the student, great for working with authentic material.
- PDF and image import, interactive worksheets and slides.
- Six game templates (quiz, matching, wheel, flashcards, unscramble and complete the sentence) plus AI-generated games you review before using.
- A teacher community to swap materials and lesson ideas.
Scheduling with students in another time zone
You book one-off or recurring lessons in the calendar. The student gets the booking email in their language, with the day, time and time zone spelled out, a Google Calendar button and a calendar file for Apple Calendar or Outlook. Once saved there, the event shows in the student's local time.
Even so, confirm the time in writing in the first lesson and in the weeks when the United States or Europe change their clocks.
A screen foreign students understand
On a platform to teach Portuguese to foreigners, the first barrier is the screen itself. On Ludi, the student interface is available in Portuguese and English, and lesson emails follow the language the student picked. What you write, such as lesson titles and activities, shows exactly as you wrote it: translation applies to buttons and menus, not to your Portuguese content.
Get found by students abroad
- On paid plans you get a public profile in the teacher directory and on the Portuguese classes page, with languages, A1 to C2 levels, price and direct contact, with no middleman.
- The public profile comes with the paid plans, starting with Essential, and goes into the directory as soon as you publish it.
- When a student finds you through your Ludi profile, the package fee is 10%, also added on top of your price and paid by the student.
- Through your storefront you can sell e-books or material packs, with a 5% Ludi fee. See the marketplace.
Pricing
- Free: up to 3 active students, 24h of live lessons and 20 AI credits a month, no card needed.

Frequently asked questions
Can I charge my students in dollars or euros?
Yes. You create packages in reais, dollars or euros. Students abroad pay by card through Stripe or by transfer to your Wise account; students in Brazil pay by Pix or card.
Does the student need to read Portuguese to use the platform?
No. The student interface is available in English, and lesson emails arrive in the language the student chose. The content you write in Portuguese stays in Portuguese.
Will Ludi send me Portuguese students?
Ludi has a public directory where students find teachers and contact them directly, but it is a new platform and does not promise a volume of students. The most common path is to use Ludi with the students you already have and add the public profile as one more storefront.
Does it work for Celpe-Bras preparation?
It works as the structure. You build activities from video, audio and text, as in the written part of the exam, and practice conversation in the live classroom for the oral part. The prep content is yours.
How much does this platform to teach Portuguese to foreigners cost?
You start free with up to 3 active students and 24h of live lessons a month. Paid plans start at R$99 a month (Brazilian reais), with a public profile and storefront.
